Mad Life Crisis

Jake is the front man for this ska/punk band, an international group heavily influenced by grunge, 90s post-punk, and both British and American West Coast ska, particularly bands like Rancid and NOFX. They create their songs with Berlin as the backdrop, a city renowned for its’ historical punk rock culture.

Naked Flamingos

A short form improv comedy troupe with regular monthly shows in Berlin, with various comedic games and dips into other styles of improv, namely musical and long-form.

Hack & Slash

A Dungeons & Dragons podcast co-hosted with Jake’s very German friend Flo. The main topic is Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition, although related topics are also discussed, including German/American cultural comparisons and 90s nerdcore nostalgia themes like the music, comics, pop culture and other media that was present at the same time as Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition. Smart topics are discussed in an intentionally ironic, stupid way – 90s style!
